Tips for Using Our Exclusive Social Network #
The central focus of the screen is the “Social Home” – your very own wall!
In the “Social Home“, you’ll see all the Updates from the Groups that you have joined.

You can always filter out what kind of Updates you want to see from:
- Your Connections
- Your Groups
- People who mention you
- Your Followers
- “Search” feature available (enter a keyword to identify specific posts).

As a new user, you’re automatically enrolled in the “Community Group“.
The “Community Group” is our main group!
Don’t be afraid to share your posts! We’re here to learn together.
You can write in Italian, but it’s not mandatory. Feel free to use English, when needed: you’ll discover a remarkably welcoming Community where everyone feels at ease, with no need to worry about criticism or negativity.
How to Share a Post #
Reach the “Community Group” from the “Social Group” section:

or directly from the “Social Home“.

How to Find Friends on Piazza Italia #
Be sure to regularly check the “Social Home” section and the Groups to stay informed about all the latest updates on our social network.
If you’d like to ask someone to be your connection or follow them, simply click on their names.
Inside their profile, you’ll be able to ask them for a “Connection” or to start “Following” them.

Following, Followers and Connections: What Is the Difference? #
On the left side of your “Social Home” you can see:
- the people you’re following
- the people who are following you
- your connections, that is your friendships

Please note that by default, you are automatically following the native Italian team members of Italy Made Easy.
This means that whenever any of us or any of the people you follow post something, it will appear in your “Social Home“.
The same thing applies to your Connections, which are your friends. The only distinction is that with your Connections, you can also exchange Private Messages.
When to Choose to Follow Somebody or to Request a Connection? #
If you come across someone who shares valuable information about Italy or the Italian language, make sure to follow them for their latest updates.
To privately message someone, ask for a Connection directly from their profile (as shown above).
In any case, we suggest you use the “Community group” for a better experience.
Improve your Italian language skills by practicing daily interactions with the Italian team and other members, and by expressing your thoughts in Italian.
This will help you improve your confidence and fluency in the language, and build better relationships with the other members. Have a great time!
How to Reach the “Coffee Room“? #
Click on the banner “Coffe Room” to reach the Cofee Room: a place where you can meet other members. This room is available 24/7!
Get ready to connect with a Community of Italian language enthusiasts!
You’ll have the opportunity to chat with other members and share your thoughts and ideas about learning this beautiful language.
Participate in the discussion, share your viewpoints, and work together with other Italian learners! You can discuss travel plans, create study groups, and anything in-between!
We recommend you connect with the other members and, then, message each other to agree on meeting times etc.
